An unlikely family~ these two were more or less kidnapped by their gnoll 'father', after their caravan was raided by his pack (which had just recently exhiled him for killing one of his pack-mates). more in detail later, when I type it up :O
The kids came from a rich family, and didn't do well with the gnoll at first - rather afraid for their lives. he wasn't like a typical gnoll though, and it was definitely his need for company that made him commit the taboo of laboring along side slaves. eventually the two warmed up to him, as he did them, and stopped being master/slave and started being father/cub.
here they're gathering wood. Jonas is in front, Claire is off to the side, and Gormund (looking alot less gruff than intended) is in the back.

well considering they all curl up together in the tent at day's end, I'd say so ;3
and they're so fond of eachother, even, that the kids refused to return to their father (even risking a potential death at the hands of a platoon of knights) because they felt more loved with their 'kidnapper'.
I love stories like this :3
just found otu that in Ebberon in 4E there's a group of gnolls that work as mercenaries, and abandoned their evil pasts :D I got a warm fuzzy feeling inside
