This series is obvious about the woods i visited. I love the contrasting (pairing opposites) and comparing (pairing similars) images on the right vs. left.
The top 2 are both taken near the other, in this whimsical looking wooded area. The grass looked so soft like a lambs ear, but i was not about to roll around in tick infested grass. :\
The middle is of a sunset over the lake w/ the boot in view, and to the right is a double exposure of mushrooms up a tree and then a gap in the trees at dawn. I like the comparison of sunset / sunrise but w/ more complexity than that. The orange framed by black on the top and bottom vs. the blue framed by green on the left and right. Just 2 very different images and colours that are kinda the reverse. (juxtaposition :D)
The bottom 2 give off this awesome rust colour. These small pine trees on the shore, and on the right metal drum probably used for hot coals that rusted so much that it fell over itself and let life come out of it. I like the pure organic scene contrasting and comparing to the man made object that has just returned to almost pure organic shape.
Then i can talk about how they all fit together, the left seen by itself or as a group. It has a very open space w/ the lake and the sky enclosed by the these heavy woods that bank it that connect to the black that frame the top and bottom of the image. The darkness gives a nice calming evening effect.
The right has the same effect of the space being enclosed, but the lighter colours make it a bit more cheery and more as if it's a nice walk in the woods on a sunny day or in the morning.
This film was expired and that explains the yellow tinge if you were wondering. I like it, makes it more of a series w/ a theme
