Guilmon! I saw the other crochet guilmon out there were... Sad. Why do guilmon if you can't do knees? Because getting the shaping right is murder? Nonsense! The ears took a few days fidgeting and are the highlight of the piece I swear it. There are a lot of markings but taken separately they aren't hard. I love the feet. The two claws are done first then joined and continued together. Then there's a heel and the back claw is sewn onto that. It would look awkward but since it bears weight it looks perfectly natural. Guilmon I always thought was one of the most beautifully designed monsters out of digimon even if he isn't a favorite. He looks like a living creature with muscle articulation, following the positioning of the legs in pictures did lead to a toy that could stand. The tail isn't even on the ground (well not in all of them).

He's actually pretty nice and posable but this is one of the earliest pieces I made with haunches and his balance isn't great. Bland positioning but it's a very big toy and there's still a lot to look at :)
