It's been awhile since I posted anything here, and I wanted to fix that. And what better way than with the first upload to be something very close and dear to my heart.

Two years ago on this day I lost my paternal grandmother. And three years before that, on the same day I lost my maternal one. Both were strong, patient, caring women that I adored and admired. And much to my own shame and regret, despite spending as much time with them as I could near the ends, I was absent and unable to say goodbye one last time in both cases.

Even with time passing, I still miss them both very much, though the pain has lessened, and the good memories are able to keep them alive in my heart. This picture was drawn by my very dear friend  crysalia shortly after my grandmother's passing, as a way to show support and friendship and above all hope. At the time, and even on the first anniversary it still felt too fresh and painful to share. But now I feel I'm ready. Thanks so much for this Crys
