I felt the same damn way. I wanted there to be a love triangle cause Pauline has always been a waaaay better girl to Mario than peach (for one she actually thanks him, supports him, TALKS TO HIM, and even celebrates his accomplishments and the like as a truly sincere person. She is a freaking mayor now for god's sake, that's amazing considering where she started. Meanwhile Princess is still a princess and getting kidnapped bye everyone and their mother(one real "independent" girl ain't she?))
