Squirrels might not be seen as predators for a lot of reasons. Size, natural diet, how they used to be a part of people's natural diets, their nutritional worth as part of a natural diet.. But with more normalized social standings comes more of an opportunity for squirrels to show what they've got. That is, speed, flexibility, and a whole lot of energy for those hungry gulps! If you're not careful, you could wind up the victim of one of their mighty pounces, and you'll go from walking along the street to curled up inside a squirrel stomach in moments. Just like this one!...or, two? Kinda hard to tell. But hey even if it was two of them, soon as jaws get stretched around their heads, down they go. One big belch later, it's time for food to fall asleep and squirrels to digest. The worst/best kind of sneak attack, you're down in moments.
