Brief story:
He is named after the Ancient Egyptian capitol, Memphis, where he was born. The exact date of his birth isn't certain, but perhaps early 31st Century BC. He was stolen away from his family as a baby by soldiers of the Persian army, who were amazed by his splendid wings, patterns, and abilities to manipulate light. He was given to the king of Persia as a gift of war, who saw him as a trophy prize. He spoiled him and adorned him with beautiful pieces of jewelry made from the finest materials in all of Persia. The king kept him locked away in his possession, keeping him safe with the guardians and priests of the Ancient temples. There he became a solitary creature, tending to his hoard of lanterns and lights and becoming a personal advisor to the king, who valued his high intelligence. However, he longs to seek revenge... and will eventually betray and kill the king.

He actually fits perfectly in with Caravello's timeline and in my headworld, which will be developed more in the future.
