To the best of my understanding, he is named Twitch because he is over caffeinated and well, twitchy... and as for the color pattern, also to the best of my understanding, they used to be white but he likes to roll around on radioactive things...

We call him Twitch cuz he used to drink about 3-4 POTS of coffee a day. Hence... he was always fidgety and twitchy and paranoid.
The colour, was sort of after his cat (except his cat wasn't green) the green is from him being dirty and radioactive from all the grime. least that what he tells me. :)
