vatti is an vampire bat, (a bat who is a vampire, not the other kind of vampire bat), who has lived as a vampire for about 10 years (young by vampire standards)

he does have bat wings under his arms, but he prefers his vampire wings.

he houses a hatred for raz, or "half-breed", believing that if raz became a vampire he would be one of the greatest vampires in existance. this fact often makes Vatti's motives a bit confusing, on occasion he will help Raz, but on others he would fight to the death,
