A tribute to Henry Allingham. Was the current oldest man alive and the final Great War British volunteer veteran. He passed away. In his last years he sought to remind people those who served in World War 1. I think it sad that we (US) Have a memorial in DC for every major conflict we were involved in, except for those who died in The First World War.

It's probably because weren't too involved in it. If I remember correctly, after a lot of training and ocean-crossing, the US managed get to the last six months of the war.
Either this country doesn't consider our involvement worthwhile or they might not have the records of who exactly fought and who died. It is a tragedy though, this should be done and while the news about this man's passing is still juicy.
