A'ni spends her days watching Akoni from the shores, sometimes even daring to go into the ocean to be near him, but her fear of the ocean runs deep and she usually slinks back to the shore. Akoni is unsure why A'ni has this morbid fear of the ocean, but tries to her keep her happy by bringing her gifts. He spends his days collecting fishing lines, lures, and driftwood floating about to give to her.
Akoni is giving A'ni one of his favorite possessions; a Makau - A Hawaiian fish hook pendant he found.
