For those wondering about the story behind this, when I asked my mate what she wanted for her birthday she responded that all she wanted me. Being 1.6k miles away makes this quite difficult, and when work didn't give me the week and a half off I requested, I knew I wouldn't be able to make it. Well, this isn't quite as good as actually being there, but its as close as I could get for the time being to what she wanted for her birthday.

Short notice seems to be the thing I'm good at x3 I don't have much trouble getting things done quickly with enough communication, so at least I'm decent for birthdays and such :P

you know everytime a deeply skilled artist says that their work isnt good, he/she is indirectly insulting everyone that thinks their work is better than said artist.

I think that anyone who gets insulted whenever a person is unsure about their own abilities is just looking to be insulted and start something.

It doesn't work that way xD First of all, everyone knows an artist is harder on himself than anyone else. Anyone that draws a picture is going to know everything they wanted to do but couldn't, everything they had to change or cop out on, see every little anatomy flaw and layout error and -everything-. Everyone else just sees the final picture, so they're not nearly as hard on it.

Secondly, it's not really a competition. Art isn't a final product... I don't think anyone really draws for the final product, so much as for the journey, the learning. If someone waved a little magic wand that made me absolutely perfect so I couldn't improve anymore, I'd probably stop drawing because I'd have nowhere to go and that'd be boring. x3 I don't really think of people as better or worse, just different steps along the path, sorta. Which is why I quite often trade with people who've got less drawing experience than me, it's fun to watch them try new things and learn.

Also porn is good. x3

Finally, it's a little hypocritical to say such a thing, because even if they do, well... they're going to be better than -someone- out there, so they're obviously not thinking about all those people. They'd be offending everyone they're better then in just the same way x3
