Yeah, the series was canceled, I think the transition from the wonderful writing by John Rogers to various fill-ins lost it a lot of readers before it found its stride again, and by then it was too late :/

There's a back-up in Booster Gold now though, which is shaping up to great fun.

well at least the latest BB is making the most guest appearances in Batman: the brave and bold cartoon. although in that cartoon they did change the way the BB before him died, but I guess getting a bullet through the head is too graphic for a kids show.

Yeah, I suspect Ted's death would be a bit much for that show, though it is going places I wouldn't have expected. I don't think it has the same dramatic impact if you don't know his history with Max anyway.

(They also screwed up the first Blue Beetle's costume, they based it on the 30's version which has never been in DC continuity)

There's actually 1000's of Green Lanterns all over the universe, there are four from Earth that I'm aware of, the black one having been made more prominent lately due to the Justice League cartoons.

There is a lot more to it than I had thought before getting in to comics. Though I've picked up a lot more from lurking in comic forums than actual comics themselves, so much happened in the 80's and 90's before I was reading the damn things!

God, I stopped reading most comics because I got so entirely sick of continuinity changes, writers coming and going, quality yo-yo-ing more than Oprah´s wait, I don´t know why I still love and adore the DC universe.

But I have a quick question, if you know the answer, awesome, if not, baww.

I had two Superman comics a while back. The plot of one was that Brainiac basically put his mind in Doomsdays body, and something with someones baby.

The other is Supermans powerless son (I have no idea where he came from) gained powers from Lex Luthor and in a rage killed Supergirl, and Superman tries to kill Lex in revenge and becomes permanently powerless due to gold kryptonite after witnessing the formerly Powerless son die due to the fact that it´s apparantly impossible for someone to be given supermans powers without dying.

I read them about 10 years ago I finks.

I'm fairly new to the comics myself, and I've never followed Superman very closely, sorry.

DAMN. I´ve been wanting to know what those comics are for years.

Is that Dora the Explora?

Nope, she's Milagro Reyes, a character in current Blue Beetle stories.

And the other guy looks like Syndrome with a crew cut.

After joining the army, Syndrome teams up with Dora the Explora and steals the powers of Green Lantern. And Dora's an arsonist.

In any case, it looks rad and is well colored. And there's a skull in that dust cloud.

Is that Dora the Explora?
