So I have purchased some amazing lessons from the awesome Aaron Blaise.
I'm slowly working through them one by one. I have learned SO much and I'm not even done yet! I think I'm about half way there. The hardest lesson by far has been the hands (go figure lol). But he broke it down into basic shapes, dispelled common mistakes that people do, and showed me how to think about it in simple shapes. I really enjoyed drawing the arms. Again I learned so much! Never really thought about the structure underneath arms before.
Well never really thought about any structure under the skin before when I drew. And that really helped open my eyes to how it all flows. The patterns that the human body has, and the ways to help yourself be able to create believable poses.
This is just an idea of what I have been working on, just a sketch dump if you will. I will probably go back and do the lessons over again after I finish it and see if I improve. :D
Foreshortening is a crazy hard btw..... I definitely need more practice, but I'm actually excited to practice hands now instead of scared of them. I will conquer them one day! How bout you guys? What are some of the hardest things for you to draw? For you to understand conceptually in art?
Art- Mine
Bottom right hand sheet practice- Aaron Blaise (which I sketched over top of to practice finding the shapes like he suggested in the video)
Skull on the right- from google. Needed a quick skull to practice drawing the nose on.
