Shirley Andrews is a young, sensitive and rather naïve girl, often mistaken for a visiting elementary student, or somebody’s little sister. Some might call her a ditz, but she’s far too sweet to dislike for too long. She goes out of her way to please other people, and except for shyness around larger pokemon, she can be very friendly. Considered the ‘baby’ of her team, she still has a bit of growing up to do… evidence of this is the way she clings to her childhood Smoochum plushie. It’s name is Sandy.

Despite her lack of street smarts, Shirley is a wiz when it comes to fashion, and she just loves helping other ‘mon get ready. A date? She’s there with the make up! (Though she doesn’t really wear it herself, but it doesn’t hurt to know how to apply it, right?) She’s also rather good at styling hair, and wields a curling iron like a pro. Hopefully this makes up for her lack of skill in battles, since the sandshrew doesn’t like to hurt anyone. Except when shopping, she’s not afraid to elbow another ‘mon out of the way to get to those super cute skirts!

She’s also a bit self-conscious about her weight, and isn’t afraid to let people know when they’ve hurt her feelings. (Usually by crying.) The femme is definitely old enough to notice boys; however, as she has a major crush on Team FFA’s coach: Kimo Makekenaha. Her outward personality is very friendly and playful, but sometimes when she’s alone… her self doubts and stress get to her.
