The "first" (first one is always skipped so the actual first isn't ruined) page in my new sketchbook; with 216 pages. I had a bad history in highschool of having my sketchbooks being stolen with the culprit trying to take credit for things or just random people/relatives snatching it away going "OH YOU DRAW LEMME SEE!" n' crap. So this time around I've made some things very clear (lol bad handwriting) so I don't have to deal with the varied assortment of reactions.
As of now, I will only be posting these in my [Art Blog]. :)

The one habit that all my friends got into in high school was that we all bought the same sketchbooks. They're licensed under the name of a local artist and part of the proceeds go to wildlife preservation. All his sketchbooks have mountain goats on the cover. So we used to write up the side of the front of the cover "100% pure mountain goat".
I totally get what you're talking about. I always get those questions from people and I always feel stupid trying to explain it to them l'D
I think the oddest responce from someone went along the lines of this: "Are these like ANIMAL PEOPLE? What would you do if the were REAL? Like would you stop them on the street and say that you DREW THEM? O:'
It was odd.

Omg this is adorable! Ive tried to do such before and I always felt awkward when I did it but you did it so cutely and with such a nice drawing of your fursona...man...you make me want to draw again...I know that sounds weird but I miss having a sketchbook...I havent drawn anything but commishes (in desperation) for like...a long time. And I'm glad to see this in my inbox because you know what, maybe I'll start drawing again. You're inspiring me to start a sketchbook again :o <3
I just love her pants, with all those pockets and things. I can't stop staring at them. Is that weird? XD I had a similar bad experience happen with my sketchbook--in my 10th grade art class, I was talking to a friend at her desk and left my sketchbook on my desk, thinking that maybe, 10th and 9th graders MIGHT have the maturity to respect my privacy. But no, some kid grabs it up, starts looking through it, and shows a bunch of people my art, which wasn't nearly as good as it is now, but my sketchbook is like my diary. Needless to say, I was very upset. The kid got yelled at by the teacher cause I was crying lol.
But anywyay, tl;dr--I really like this idea, it's straight to the point and is a far warning in my opinion. Would you mind if I used it as a kind of template? I'd like to do something like this in my own sketchbook.

:( Awww! Sorry to hear that; it's happened to me quite a few times but mostly during lunch time or P.E. when I was able to hide away if I was upset. Also, go right ahead! :D Glad I could help some people out with the idea! I sadly havn't worked a whole lot in the sketchbook as of late, but at least I'm just as prepared. x3
