This fellow is Vajra. His object for channeling was a crystal carved into an alien head with patterns similar to those on his wings decorating its surface. This was made in honor of the alien species he made first contact with.
When his gem and secondary horn were intact, he was not able to release enough of his excess energy, leading to the crystalline formation on his right shoulder and the permanence of his mask, which also took over his horns and developed a secondary layer on its underside. The discoloration around his ribs was the beginning of a new formation.
The item which he used to channel his magic was destroyed, his gem cracked and his throat slit by someone he trusted. After his run-in with death, his arm was augmented and body chained by the one who saved him in order to repay their "kindness" and expenditures. These items may never be removed due to having been magically bound to his body, of which the the glassy, purple eye situated at the center of the silver jewelry at the end of his tail is a part of. It monitors all of his conversations and sees everything he does or who he interacts with, sending this information back its owner in real time.
