Curses let loose upon the brave defenders
From the darkness come scores of offenders
Dark banners held high, gazes of malice
Evil men, with demeanor so callous
The Battle of Oakenfall, as this would be known
Where the Lion had faced minions of a Crone
With an army composed entirely of peasants
And a handful of allies to halt this menace
From the four clans, only two came forwards.
The Wolf and the Rat, for they watched their own borders
And with the Crone so intent on conquer.
They had to show, who was the stronger.
For the Crone, the Baron, she desired all.
Every clan’s crown an addition to her hall.
First was the Lion, she wanted him dead.
For with his demise a path to victory led.
And now they stood together,
The Lion, Wolf and Rat,
Ready to spill the blood of those
Who dare make pacts with shadows.
And when all those men clashed at the fields,
Hungry for bloodshed, not hiding behind shields
The grain was soon covered in ichor.
And quickly all run out of vigor.
With every next corpse the tide was changing
Yet the Army of the Lion was waning,
But at the last moment, and a great roar
He showed he was no mewling at war.
He reached the Crone’s captain, and swung his blade
And with that the captain’s life did fade
His forces soon followed, fleeing from battle
The peasants turned into a joyous rabble.
The battle was over, the Lion had won,
But war was indeed far from done,
The Crone still remained, powerful as ever,
And they knew it will take all their effort.
This was the first, of many great battles,
Of the war which united all of the cattle,
Under one lion’s protective gaze.
But… he would be the cause of the very next craze.
How do I know? Oh believe me I do.
