Here at the end of my month of posting every day, October 26th-31st is all 'Different Looks, Different Guises, Dressup, and Costumes!'
-
As if I didn't have enough snakes, I created a flower-infested serpent many years ago, and then happened to get this drawn in the summer of 2012.
The reason I'm posting it now, is because it's technically a 'different appearance' for Amethystine. In an old, undeveloped story idea, the normal python naga was corrupted (or blessed, if you ask him) by a powerful plant being, filled with botanical life that overtook him / his innards entirely, and changed his entire biology and personality, making him a new entity, which would go on to call itself Vitis.
It also caused several blooming blossoms to grow out of his back, along his spine in semi-regular intervals.
This idea is actually pretty horrific when you consider it's just a sort of plant monster wearing Ame's old skin, in a way, but I think of it as having had been a more seamless and smooth transformation, where the plants entered to integrate with and alter his systems.
ANYWAY, it never really went anywhere, and now I have a much different plant snake character anyway, one that is totally separate from ever having been Ame.

Big blossoming blooms
Pure pythonic pulchritude
A weed stole his form

Nope.
As I said above: "ANYWAY, it never really went anywhere, and now I have a much different plant snake character anyway, one that is totally separate from ever having been Ame."
I really meant that the two planty snakes really did not have any links at all, conceptual or otherwise. The only link is that I clearly want to have a plant snake character.

Oh I see... I was just curious because most of my characters already went trough different iterations of their biography as I was still making up my mind on how I wanted to feature them in one of my stories XD
One even got completely scrapped away... he was going to be my alter-ego Prostapheresys until I found my current fursona, which is much better, I just couldn't be 100% satisfied with "Prostapheresys" and all his redesigns :P (if you're curious I still have his last draft in my scraps: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20259700/)

OH Ah... I see, my English must have failed me, sorry XD
Then why not, I liked doing similar write-ups, I may very well do one for my Ouroboros in the future (which I usually refer to as Auran by the way, to keep it a completely different thing from the early character of Prostapheresys... Maybe that only helps to generate confusion, what do you think?)

Flowers and snakes go very well together. The tendrilous root, stem and branch-like morphology can hardly clash with anything. And petals have a leathery smooth-skinned tactile grippiness to them that snake scales give off. I've only ever brushed a few snakes in my life, however; mostly garters.
Now-- pulchritude. That is a funky word.
