My drunken Stranger Things marathon left me a little raw yesterday. :P

It's an emotional thriller/comedy Netflix series set in the early eighties. The music, the arcade, the movie references, the kids on bikes, the great dialogue, the indoor wood panel siding, the dysfunctional families, the old tupperware, the rotary phones, the swearing kids, the cordory pants and coats, the characters walking down traintracks... It's very Stephen King. Stephen Spielberg. John Carpenter. Gary Gygax. They even hired horror synthwave band Survive to do the original score.

They worked really hard to present as realistic and pop-culture laced a version of the eighties they could on this show. They did their homework, and it shows.
