I love slender arthropod designs like this. The mottled texture and the notches on the exoskeleton are good details, accurate to much of what I've been studying in paleobiology. Were you looking at any crustaceans when you came up with this design?

the main design started inspired by a mantis actually! then took from there a more "alien look" with the texture i wasnt too sure where to go but you are right it does appear like that of crustaceans, this sort of plain yet rough shell
