For centuries, the mountainous terrains of the Gravewastes were said to contain a deadly creature that takes any Dragon to venture there alone. No two stories of this creature were alike, and over time it became a ghost story. However, the disappearances continued with no explanation. That is, until a growing population of Starrobbers began to appear there.
The disappearances were found to be caused by a species of fauna named the Xandauri. Rumored to have psychic abilities as well as a knack for mimicry, these six-legged creatures feed off of a Stardragon's magic. A Xandaur has short fur, crystalline horns and spikes along its back, long ears, and a set of long fangs. Standing roughly 2-3 feet tall when on all six paws, their eyes are always closed unless encountering prey. The reason for this is that their eyes are what drains a Dragon of their magic. Xandauri eyes glow brightly, putting their victims into a sort of trance and making it nearly impossible to escape. Because of a lack of magic, Starrobbers and Starshooters find themselves far less likely to be chased by a Xandaur, with one slightly odd exception.
A Starrobber killed by one of the Xandauri in their past life may find that particular one of the species drawn to them, as if the transfer of magic has formed a bond between them. The Xandaur has no ill intent towards this robber, and actually behaves far more like a pet rather than a threat.
