Because the preys will simply fall asleep deeply in my digestive acids before they realize that their body are melting down. They will feel my stomach gurgling and kneading at them heavily as the level of acids raises up, but it's totally painless.
But for psychological stress.. Well.. Yes, they are totally aware of what is going to happen. Poor of them~
I also say that to reassure people who are not very comfortable with fatal vore / digestion, but i'm not able to reform my preys. If they can't do it by themselves, it's definetely over.
You are free to think what you want. If you want the prey to suffer inside my stomach as it digests, so be it. If you want the prey to don't feel anything bad in my stomach as it digests, so be it.
I'm a huge fan of digestion / fatal vore, but I dislike visible suffer / pain.
I never spit out my food. I don't swallow my preys alive only to play with them, it's mainly to feed myself.

Acceptable answer, despite more than few holes in it, but I let it slide... Partially.
I pretty much dislike vore in general, mostly because of it's root's in demonizing something into "EVIIL", example in greek myth's (Cronos and Minotaur myth's; both have element's of cannibalism) and many giant's, troll's and witches in various fairy tale's world wide( eating people/children). And little part of my brain register's all non-consensual vore as either murder or assault, or very very VERY rarely as accident. And sometimes the attitude of eater is just... Not even gonna say anything about those...
As to how I cope seeing any vore that end's in death of victim or is left ambiguous, I know that KARMA WILL find (and it ALWAYS doe's eventually) the eater deal's with them in various way's. In ironic punishment way for example.
But anyway, not judging you or your fetish (since everyone has something weird...er in their "closet"), just what is happening in fictional world in fictional content. While also letting out some shadow-steam, so it doesn't grow into explosive level's.

Im in to Dragon vore hard/soft. Strictly the dragon being the pred. And never the prey. Although this option is nulled when a lager dragon is eating another dragon. I cant hate the pred if its a dragon. I love dragons Too much. Not to fond of other species eating dragons. Except if its a spino. I manly view myself as a human prey when it comes to dragon vore. I apply Physics to fantasy knowing that an Apex predator Such as a dragon. didn't just swallow me alive but is also painfully Digesting me/prey alive & im slowly Being absorbed into the body of the Species I love. With the background of dragons being powerful magical creatures. In multiple countries. I Even Apply that they absorbed the prey's soul in the process if they ate it alive the soul is traped in the dragons body becoming its soul after all the Material is digested.
In a nutshell it's basically just wanting to become a part of my favorite animal.
