I wanted to draw Syk and Steve together because they have one thing in common - they love sweets. I don't think they like sharing, though. So this peaceful scene can turn into a deadly battle at any moment now!
Little gift for my best friends
Jolee and
JustJim as a thank-you for their constant support. I wouldn't be able to open commissions without them. They helped me to buy a new tablet I couldn't have afforded otherwise!
Sorry for that pathetic pumpkin, can't draw those to save my life!

OH MY GOSH. I swear, there is nothing as exciting as checking your inbox here and seeing art of your character by your favourite artist! Jim apparently saw this before I did and didn't spoil the surprise. I'm eternally grateful he left the house before I discovered it because the creepy smile on my face is something nobody should ever have to see! WELL, this is absolutely the most perfect Syk in existence!! Feels like a dream come true <3 I adore the shape of her mouth here - instead of a gaping smile, it's a more subdued "oooh!" It fits so well! And the way her hair is spilling over her face Even when you draw characters sitting, I can always easily spot the line of action; nothing ever looks rigid or lifeless! These characters look very much alive. AHH, Syk's mane.... You always listen when I share those little details about my characters and that means the world to me ;__; Oh gosh, you didn't forget a single thing about her design <3 Seeing her paired up with Steve is such a hilarious idea! I can see the fight in my head right now, hahah. I have no idea who would win! His clenched fists are precious (I'm imagining him bouncing up and down on his rump) and that single stray hair on top of his head is one of the first little details I zeroed in on when I clicked on this picture. I wish I knew why it made me so happy! ALSO I have no idea what you're talking about!! That pumpkin looks amazing :D I love the fact that I can identify so many of the candies in it - I see those candy corn and jelly beans. I REALLY hope Syk beats Steve to the Kinder Surprise Egg, and I also hope she remembers to take the toy out before gobbling it!
Dang, I have been having the cruddiest week ever, but right now I feel like I'm on cloud nine! I swear, one day your amazing art is gonna make my heart stop. I feel so spoiled by you. I wish I was able to return the favour more often! And pfff, thank us? We owe you so much for being such an amazing friend <3 Thank YOU for everything you've done! And thank you so, so much for this fantastic picture - we don't deserve all the lovely art you've gifted us with over the years, but both of us sure do appreciate (and adore) it!

Sweet Lord, this comment was SO much fun to read, thank you <3 Once again, I'm glad you like this!! I couldn't get Syk out of my head for the last couple of weeks - I really wanted to draw her again, especially because my previous attempt wasn't good. Then Jim shared those tweets about Steve, so I knew exactly what I wanted to do!
It's amazing you can spot the line of action in my doodles; I almost never actually draw it, it just tends to emerge on its own sooner or later! Making the polecat commission was probably my most valuable lesson when it comes to the line of action. Those long, tube-y bodies helped me to understand it so much better :D Thank you a bunch for all of the compliments, ahh! I don't deserve to be treated with such thoughtful and sweet comments but I appreciate them a lot! Your remark about Steve bouncing on his butt made me laugh out loud, I can totally see that in my head, hahah. You're very observant (as always)! I drew that Kinder Egg specifically for Syk, so I also really hope she grabs it first!
Oy, don't you dare having a heart attack because of me 'cos I don't know how to send my doodles to people in heaven! Seriously though, knowing that my scribbles put a smile on your face means the world to me. This is my goal - to make others happy through my creations. Not impressed, just happy. And you're the person who always reassures me to keep drawing <3 So thank you for being such a dedicated friend, you and Jim are the sunshine of my life!
