a type of desert dwelling creature, rock-like, but smooth body often mistakes it for a desert snake, differance beigng the head is the size of a small mammal, allowing it to eat small mammals and insects whole, and the 4 fins that allows it to "swim" though the sand, believed to be cold blooded, since it spends most of the day under the sand, and uses a "sonar-like" hearing to hear the prey on top of the sand, so it can spend minimum time in the sun while seeking a meal.. also note that they get water and some minerals from eating roots of cacti.
quite a friendly creature, rarely does it attack large prey unless provoked, most of the time it sliters away quickly til it can get into the sand, said to be very agile, about to outrun most prey while under the sand, sometimes called "desert shark" cause of its attack style (up from under, like the covers of the popular "JAWS" movie), it has large gills behind its hard head, but it is hinted that they are for removing sand afters its swallowed its prey.
