Yes, aside the extra tail and 4th finger and the pilot attire (thanks Launchpad) I got quite inspired from the gremlins from the movie saga for his design. But gremlins as American and British World wars airmen imagined them are not evil at all, in fact they can be nice and grow attached to a pilot, they just make aircraft failures just for the sake of being little joksters, or also because they like the pilot and don't want him to go die in a battle, or even just to feeding themselves as some aviators say they feed on iron, gears and motor oil.
