So about 2 weeks ago, I won a raffle from CoVaHr for a fully orchestrated character theme song. I decided to use this picture and this picture as visual references for the theme. I want the theme to have a urban/dark fantasy kinda feel to it and used Fringe's, Daredevil's, and Constantine's themes as examples. The finished theme I got can be found here on CoVaHr's FA.
Before CoVaHr uploaded the finished theme, he told me I need to provide an artwork as thumbnail for the audio and I realized that I wanted something more fitting than the reference pictures to go with the theme. Since it's so last minute and I couldn't afford a commission with the amount of detail I wanted for the image, I ended up trying to make one myself. I had to use a bunch of tricks I picked up from watching art streams and from my old roommate from 6 years ago who happened to be an artist. I also had to learn to use this free painting software I found to work on the image (for some reason GIMP refused to work for me on my MacBook). I worked on it for 2 days (barely in time!) and this is what I was able to make. Now, I know I am no artist and there are many flaws in the image that might make a real artist cringe, but I am still pretty proud of how this came out! :3
ps. I didn't draw the alleyway in the background and the design of the magic circle. They were images from google that I transformed, added filtered and altered the colors of.

Very neat. The process that you took in order to make this is almost as interesting as the picture itself.
I really like the theme of the picture and the execution is cool. After reading that the circle was photoshopped in I do think I can see that, but like I said, only because you mentioned it.
