I've been busy with non-art things...
The baby is a sculpture i'd made for my mom for Mother's Day. The eggs are from my very own chickens (yes, they're really green), the one the baby is in was a double yolker and i saved the shell specifically for this little guy (his last one broke, store eggs< farm fresh eggs).
The baby is about two inches long, premo sculpey and acrylic paint. The feather is from the chicken that laid the green eggs, the wool is left over top i never got around to spinning.

My birds are actually mutts called Easter Eggers. There's a whole breed standard for both Araucana (tufted, rumpless) and Ameraucanas (beard/muff has rump).
Auracanas and Ameraucanas both lay various shades of blue eggs only, and have to have a certain color leg, EEs (Easter Eggers) can lay anywhere from tinted pink eggs to deep olive green, they also don't conform to any breed standard. My birds lay mint colored eggs and have gray/green legs.
Honestly, i love my EEs, they're really hearty and are taking the heat (it was 117 in Phoenix this weekend) really well and are some of my best layers.
I'm surprised you knew about Araucanas though! That's so awesome, most people are like "What?! It's GREEN, can you EAT the green ones?!?!"
Yep, i eat 'em all the time. Best. Eggs. Ever.
