In the same vein as the Jenner previously, a 'Mech from the same time period is given a sort of stylization.
Unlike the Jenner, the Panther has NOT been confirmed for "MechWarrior 3015", though I'll be slightly disappointed if it doesn't show. It's a very common Kurita light 'Mech with assault capabilities.

That looks pretty cool.
Me and my girlfriend have found the inspiration to start our own comic based on Mechwarrior and the sonic universe.
Thanks for introducing us to the series! XD
By the way, I was messing around in instant action, when I noticed that the Solaris Championship was playable even though I hadn't even made it to the heavy class, yet.
So, being the fool-hardy idiot that I am, I attempted the Jungle Championship with my modified Mad Cat...
I won... ... ... I can't believe it...
I won because I took two lugs out early, and the final two besides me ran out of ammo...

I'm more of an anything goes style.
I like most Mechs as long as they meet a few minimum requirements:
1. Decently fast. I prefer higher than 70 kph...
2. A decent amount of armor protection. Not too much of a stickler here... just no one shoters!
3. Lots of firepower with the heat capacity to fire continuously. Here is the rub, as many Mechs can't gurauntee the first two if you add the third!

My beef with ballistic weapons is the consumption limit.
If they had unlimited ammo, like lasers, you'd bet I'd have more of them mounted than even my laser systems on certain Mechs...
... I guess Mechwarrior had to be slightly realistic with ammo, otherwise they'd get sued for being too similar to Starwars...

Well, that, but ammo costs a LOT less than more cannons. One lot of ammo costs just 1 ton (per weapon). You CAN allocate more ammo, and for AC/20s and any Gauss rifle, it's well worth it.
I dislike finishing a mission with no ammo left in my bins, but that is also why I make sure to pack on a couple of back-up weapons. Medium lasers (tech base doesn't matter) are a good start, also 1 ton a piece.

Yep.
I beat my record in Solaris Jungle Championship.
I mistook my Mech last time. I used Shadow Cat, not Mad Cat.
Anyways, I removed my missle cache, and replaced the tonage in ammo for my light guass.
This time, I beat 5 opponets in the Championship, and only one of my enemies ran out of ammo.
I... still finished borderline red, though! XD

It WAS designed for the city. The Panther's light enough to jump from roof to roof without making the building collapse, the PPC is a formidable sniper weapon and can cause a lot of havoc if you got a good gunner in the pilot seat, it's got enough heatsinks to fire the PPC while jumping without causing too much excessive heat, and the SRM-4 both compensates the PPC's minimum range and is known to be very effective against conventionnal infantry and light vehicles. And in a city, 64 kph is more than enough (you illustrated what happens if you run throught the streets too fast. The poor Locust ... xD).
