I'm in the process of getting a big ref made for her, but I'd love you all to meet my newest character and most recent obsession, Nepenthe.
Nepenthe is a chaotic good demoness, who is relatively young for one of her species; roughly 1000 years old. Like any demon, she has the ability to take souls, but she's rather...how would you put it; friendly? She's extremely outgoing and loving, enjoying the process of making friends of every race and creed and learning about their cultures, and who they are.
The only thing that would distinguish her from any other bipedal fennec fox (other than her striking blue pelt and pleasantly yellow nose and pawpads, are the elegant horns that part her ears, followed closely by two smaller horns above her eyes. Her eyes remain in a perpetual squint, as she is a demon, and she can take souls.
Any who gaze into her eyes who are not pure of heart and intention will lose their soul, but keep their life, if it's a life worth living without a soul. If one gazes into her eyes with a pure heart and pure intentions, she can instead grant one wish, so long as that wish isn't one that causes harm. She is somewhat phobic of opening her eyes, and thus, she always tries to smile. She will absolutely refuse to open her eyes for a friend or lover, in case she accidentally takes their soul, or she learns something about them that she may not have wanted to know. Even then, she will only open her eyes if the need is truly dire, therefore the number who have actually seen what her eyes look like number on one hand, throughout the ages.
