Impishun Species Guide
As always the website has all the latest details
Impishun:
(Ee-m-pii-shu-nn)
Resident Type
Impishuns are bipedal creatures that have originated in the Illuhare system, specifically a place called Juju-Islands for thousands of years, at least according to their own ancestral documentation. They have records of their adventures across the islands in stories, hieroglyphs, art and dance.
They are highly intelligent and self-aware, just like humans.
There have been conflicts between the Impishun and humans over the years, with their race being enslaved and even considered similar to animals, but with years of protests and rebellion the Impishun people have slowly become a part of society, even if discrimination still lingers.
Diet: Plants, Meat, Seafood, Insects. Impishun are capable of ingesting several types of food, but are more fond of protein based supplements
Location: Impishun can be found almost everywhere which is habitable. However their origins are said to be in the Jungles, and the Savannah.
Anatomy:
- Impishuns typically have clawed hands and feet similar to a birds with a soft velvety padding, which are both capable of gripping.
- Due to their diverse gene pool there has been cases of Impishun cross breeding with other beings, leading them to have fur and paws instead of their usual smooth-leathery hide and bird limbs.
- Impishuns are capable of crouching down low and walking on fours, but prefer to remain bipedal to keep their hands clean and free to do other tasks.
- The chest area is typically flat, but can be depicted slightly raised fatty/muscular tissue with nipples in either gender. Nipples are often hidden by hair, and can be seen around the chest and tummy area similar to felines.
- Impishun's have a keen sense smell, sight and hearing. Has been noted that the eyes tend to have a tapetum like effect, reflecting light back in their "blood/soul" color.
- Typically Impishun's have sharp teeth to shred into meat. Incisors however can be seen in the species having a more vegetarian type diet, or purposefully filed down to prevent injury.
Vocal:
They can make a wide variety sounds and are talented on picking up different languages. In their old-origin tongue, Tii-Tiik, they speak in growls, hisses, clicks and purrs. It is however a dying language and only the majority of elder or tribal Impishuns are able to speak it.
In the recent years a cultural program has been set up to reintroduce Tii-Tiik to preserve it, and not only bound to Impishun but other races are welcomed to practice it.
