Huzzah, another reference sheet!
evilfawx was nice enough to offer to pay the new prices on this commission, even though he could have gotten it for less. As a result, this is the first commission (besides badges) that I have done that is under my new price list. (It's been a weird summer, taking me a long time to catch up.) I am quite happy with how this came out. I think that having the new price range will allow me to work more on an image and get it to a point where I'm happier with how it turns out. It will also help me to not feel as rushed.
I took a class on wings at Anthrocon, done by Vantid, Rah-Bop, and Nambroth. I learned a lot about wings, and even though there are probably still some problems with these ones here, I feel like they're still a lot better than any wings I've done previously. I'm glad I got a chance to apply what I learned so soon.

Dude... I seriously can't thank you enough. This was so worth the wait and the price. I still can't believe it came out so awesome. The whole process of working with you was smooth and the choices you made creatively were ones I can't help but agree with when you showed them to me. They all made sense and completely clicked with my own mind's imagery. Thank you so much. I hate to be a broken record but I STILL feel like I came away with the best end of the transaction. I can't wait until life will allow me to score more art lewts from ya. Until then though... I'll be watching. Thanks man!
Absolutely correct. I wanted there to be a way for his wings to easily be made manifest without having to always rely on the magicaly sprouting scheme. In this case having him shape shift them into a cloak of sorts and already growing out of areas built into his armor by default seemed like a good call. It's definitely one of my favorite features of the design and I think Tsai did an outstanding job rendering it. =3
