I refuse to use the gambits at all, and find the combat to be irritating in the extreme. I'm not GOING to use the Gambits, either, because I dislike the very idea of turning over any control of the game to an AI system. When I play a game, I want to actually PLAY it.
The only reason I'm forcing myself to play this one is because the story is so good.
