X awoke on a hard bed, he felt his left arm was robotic again
"you might be wondering about that" said greenwood, looking over him "turns out when your arm regenerated, it had a weakened structure, with out the constant energy from you, it died" he said, examining the arm
"i see, is..she ok?" said x slowly, getting off the bed, only to have greenwood in his way
"look, X...shane"
"Thats not my name!" snaped X
"sorry...just, you need to prepare yourself for this" greenwood looking to oneside, at a door "racheal...is"
"....tell me already, JUST TELL ME SHES DEAD!" he yelled, greenwood stumbled back
"she isn't, shes alive...sort of" he walked to the door, X followed "you see...we though she was dead, but" he opened the door.

what X saw was racheal carter, the girl he risked the world for, in a glowing tube of green fluid
"she is in a state of suspended animation" said greenwood, as the room lit up
"then wake her up!" snapped X
"we don't know how...you see, she is the first person ever to fall into a personal state of suspended animation" he looked at the screens "this machine doesn't even have to give her life support, her whole body is at a slow down"
"so...she will wake up?" X muttered weakly
"think so, we are doing all we can" said greenwood, "i'll...leave you two be" he said walking out the room. X looked at racheal, all his memories flooded into his mind, he didn't know how to feel, he got her back, but he my never hear her voice again
"........I love you....." muttered X, turning round and walking out the room, the door sealed behind him

in the room, there was a sound, beyond that of a whisper, on the edge of hearing, so scilent that the buzzing of the computers almost covered it
"love....you....too"
