Voretober Day 17: Crop
And now for today's actual Voretober post! Crops on dragons is a subject I've touched on before, but it's one I really enjoy. After all, if a dragon kidnaps a princess, they need to keep them safe while waiting for a knight to come rescue them! And if a knight doesn't come, well, at least it provides an opportunity to experience some nice squirms -- ones that might last quite a while, especially if the dragon is able to prolong the life of their prey!

*Chuckles* I keep meaning to make a story where A: the knight is horrified the dragon ate the princess a week earlier rather than keeping her around, or B: there was no princess. Just a ruse made by the dragon to attract food. =P
Anyhow, I'm sure the princess in this picture isn't having a good time like the dragon is! ^_^

I'd certainly be happy to see more of Fia. ^_^ She's a very interesting and amusing character. On one hand, she wants to be a hero. On the other hand, she doesn't see anything wrong with eating people. Furthermore? Bad luck seems to strike at her making for very comical situations. ^_^
No reptile has a true crop, and actually, most birds don't either. It is entirely unnecessary because reptiles commonly store food in their throats if their stomachs are already full. So in effect, you could consider their entire throats as a 'crop' as food is stored their until there is room for it in the stomach.
Hey, what're you doin', bringing science into my post about dragons!? XP
I actually did know that crops are more a bird thing than a lizard thing, but I figured I could do whatever I want with a dragon. Though, this picture does kind of look like the prey is just stuck in the throat, so maybe you're right!
