In every culture there is a man turning into a predator of his country because of a bite or a curse or from birth, and Europe and then Occident in general had the werewolf ; humans turning into big anthro or feral wolves at full moon (or night in some versions) killed by silver weapons. They were my favorite monsters when I was small. And I will tell ya : I don’t like Gothic Fantasy (vampires VS werewolves), I mean werewolves and vampires were the same species for centuries in legends (why do you think vampires can turn into wolves) and it’s been only 2 or 3 centuries they have been given different names. They should be allies dammit !
