This came out so amazingly and I'm proud of it. The idea came to me when I wanted to draw a cool urban pic with a happy sunset-y vibe to it, so I thought up of a few taglines in my head: "After band practice, kicking shoes off, relaxing with beer"
And I also thought about making up the characters on the spot for this. They're an obvious mix of Gorillaz and Big Hero 6 influences, but I gave them names and a quick introduction. From left to right:
Duke (Pianist)- The gullible stoney baloney, often falls victim to the band members' pranks on him. Even after being pranked he'd be laughing at himself a lot more than his friends would.
Peter (Singer and Guitarist)- A punk version of Peter Pan, the prankster and funloving mischievous kid who co-founded the band along side Chief. In my head, I made him Asian, no idea why. Again, Big Hero 6. He's also just wearing shorts here because the balcony they practice in is his apartment rooftop. Or I just ran out of outfit ideas lol
Chief (Bassist) - The gentle giant who's a pacifist, doesn't join in on pranks but loves to watch from the background and see the craziness that goes around in the band.
Shorty (Drummer) - Peter's little brother and number one fan-- being the only underaged member here who can't drink beer, he stuck with eating Chinese take out. (Because I think I fall under Disney's level of stereotyping)
They've written songs like Kanye Westwood, Felt Great Corp., 420-69, and more! X3
