For Resume Advice

Cover Letters are meant to serve as expansions upon your resume. For this reason, it is important to note a few key points when writing one for a job opportunity.
1: This is very important, do all you can to NOT start any sentence with the words I, Me, My, etc. Simply put do all you can to avoid referring to yourself as much as possible. Referring to one's self in excess is a massive turn-off to hiring personnel.
2: In this example, you notice the letter is addressed to a "Ms. Haruna." In any case of addressing a woman, you should stick to, unless told otherwise, using the Ms. formality. Never use Miss.
3: If you do not know to whom the letter is to go to, the best way to address the hiring authority is by Dear Employment Representative. Many firms and organizations use panels, or search commitees, to hire and using this greeting covers your bases well.
4: Your opening paragraph should summarize core skills that make you ideal for the position. Think of it like you are reading a review for a video game, or movie. Most people won't care if the first statement doesn't catch their attention. Same goes for cover letters. You got to make the opening sizzle in order to get the hiring authority to want to read more about you.
5: Paragraphs two and three should summarize experiences that make you perfect for the position you are applying toward. DO NOT REPEAT WHAT YOU SAID IN YOUR RESUME. The cover letter is meant to elaborate, or tell a story, as to why you are the one. if they wanted a run down of your talents, they'd have stuck exclusively to your resume and not read your cover letter. Accomplishments go very well here.
6: In your last paragraph, be sure to thank the hiring authority for their time. Also, be sure to remind them of your interest in the position. Lastly, although you may have your contact info in the header, below your name, put your contact info here. It is convenient and brings it to their attention without them having to search for it after reading the cover letter.
I hope this helps some of you out in your job search. If you should have any questions, please leave a comment or PM me. I will do my best to steer you in the right direction based on my experiences, connections, and insight. :)

Not bad... "The type of work environment I thrive in the most" should be "The type of work environment in which I thrive the most" though. (Sort of like in your description, "to whom the letter is to go to" should just be "to whom the letter is to go.") Other than a couple comma errors, the rest looks good :)
Oh, and FYI, in #6... in formal writing, "their" and "them" should be "his/her," "him/her," etc... "They" should not be used to refer to a single person.

Kazootles! I did not catch that blunder. I quite appreciate the input as I will be making those notes to my actual cover letter.
My hope in providing this is to give a basic template to anyone who may be struggling to find employment. This cover letter may be fairly bare-bones and simple, but I feel gives a great start to anyone who may be uncertain as to how to get their letters off the ground. :)

Now we know how to do it! It's hard writing about yourself or what you do without those basic I, Me, My starters, but you did a good job of putting your focus elsewhere while still talking about yourself. :3
I figured from the description if it was about Ms. Haruna there were going to be more Hamtaro references. 8D Hooray!
I'm sure this'll help anyone working on their cover-resume stuff! :3
