I adore longhorn beetles, so it was nice to find several of them during a walk with Farore. Tetraopes sp. These have several interesting characteristics, including eyes of which are each split by the antennae. They mate with the female on top (as with many other insects, actually) and are part of a line of insects that feed on milkweed and share a striking red/black or orange/black pattern. They appear between May and September in Central and Eastern North America.
