Voretober Day 11: Foreign Objects
One of the effects of the cocktail of spells on Kira is that any foreign objects that get swallowed along with her prey are filtered out. This is something of an ancillary effect; only her target enters the folded space inside her belly, and everything else doesn't. Even if a prey tried to smuggle something in by swallowing it, the object would still be phased harmlessly out of them. These objects come back up Kira's throat after she ingests her prey.
Unfortunately, this is not always a comfortable experience for Kira -- especially if someone is wearing heavy clothes, lots of layers, or a substantial amount of jewelry. To head this problem off, Kira usually strips her prey before eating them; however, the compulsion she feels to devour her prey is strong, and she can only hold back for so long. If a prey runs and forces Kira to chase, or if Kira runs into a prey that triggers her spells in a situation where she needs to eat them quickly, she may not have time to do a thorough search for foreign objects. This results in her having to retire somewhere private (fortunately, most inns have extra-large beds for large patrons like her) while she carefully extricates clothes and accessories from her gullet.
Her least favorite are earrings.
At the very least, there's a good chance she'll be able to sell some of that for a little extra spending cash.

Actually, it might not be quite as uncomfortable as you'd think.
I hadn't considered that, but there could totally be the equivalent of prosthetics in this world, and yeah, they'd lose those when going in. The pseudo-stasis that Kira's magic puts them in would probably resolve any major issues related to that, though.
