Woot, another trade that only took me half a year to actually get back too…well, something like that anyway (:-]
racthetmechanic was nice enough to do not only one, two, but THREE pics in response to my request to do a trade with him. Relatively new, and with a style reminiscent of Disneys’ glory days show; ‘Talespin’, I’ve been enjoying his artwork since the first fortunate stumble upon his user page! It was easy enough at the time to think of whom to request for him to draw, Mose Bowery, my top-hated wolf lug who I felt would fit right in with racs already amazing string of characters, and as suspected, he did indeed. For him, he asked me to do Don the trucker, his dominant wolf character who appears in quite a few nifty pictures, with varying tattoo designs. So behind I was, I had to ask him which version of tattoos he’d prefer to see on Don, he told me his most recent tats would do. Working from those I kind of added to them a little…no big deal really, but I’ve always been fascinated with clever and creative tattoo designs on furs, and I wanted to add my own ‘spin’ on some of his great works examples of Dons body art.
I’m actually in the midst of working on
addylad’s commission featuring himself and ‘Bruiser’, and a new tiger…but being a bit behind I knew I couldn’t finish it this week, I whipped this up so I’d still have something to show. Hope you and Rac like it!

Nice looking character. I'd imagine that tattoos must be really, really hard to portray on a furred character because how would the ink be injected into the skin and then show up on the fur. I would imagine it would have to be inked into the FUR somehow (or painted on with some sort of permanent ink) in a way that it looks realistic and not a botched job. I'm rambling I guess. He looks like a tough bad-ass mo-fo. :)
