The Vaspid is a creature with basically scissors for fingers. Their enlarged hands holds the strong muscles needed for delicately slashing choice regions of their prey. Their thin wrists are actually not thin at all but rather flat and wide on the top to maximize the amounts of tendons and bone needed to keep the hands from breaking at the wrist because of the brute force they inflict upon their victims.
What they are built to do is stalk their prey from a distance, their enlarged eyes fit for any type of weather. when they see movement, their incredible legs which are very muscular leap and bound with more speed than a raptor or bounce than a kangaroo, leaping onto their prey and slashing into their bellies to eat their internal organs. This beast, the Vaspid, loves entrails and the warm gooey insides of animals. many times it wants to keep it's prey alive and fresh so it would immobilize it's prey by snapping the back, then slowly eating the innards from the inside out.
for camouflage purposes the vaspid would also (permitting it's prey is large enough) wear the bloody skins to disguise itself as a less harmful creature. Elephants and large herbivores are the perfect beast to impersonate, even though it prefers to dine on human flesh.
Each of these creatures is essentially a hermaphrodite, capable of fertilizing itself though it prefers to copulate with other vaspids for the sake of genetic diversity.
