however they make money because of the movies being watched by people like
they probably make just enough not to even care about any fanart or fan made merch because I don't think all that makes more than the movie official stuff did

I have like conflicting thought on this >.<
so I am not sure of what to think tbh ;_;
I guess I just don't wanna steal any original designs or anything like that from any other artists, because I want to avoid drama >__<

the species creator can take it one of two ways when someone makes their own character of said species:
1. They can choose be offended and feel like their creativity and intellectual property is at risk of being taken from them
2. They can choose to realize that their species was used as the basis for someone else's creative thinking and take joy that they are getting artistic recognition in the process.
If they choose the former then they have chosen the more confrontational path of their own volition independently of anyone else's choice, i.e. it's their problem.
