SFW Ref for Jade.
So, I wasn't really happy with Jade's previous design. I don't think the green worked the way I used it. This time, I went with a more natural marking for her, and made her design match her story more, as in she is NOT actually Anubian, but is rather a melanistic golden jackal. Made her a little more into body mods, more piercings and cropped ears, and the option of a fully 'fluffy' tail or a trimmed 'Anubis' tail.
I think this looks a lot better, the prior design was a mess.

Ghaida Aswani is her real name, but she goes by 'Jade' as she likes the stones and her real name can be very poorly Anglicized as 'Jade.'
Her family hails from the Aswan area in Egypt. Melanism is not common in her family, and nor does her family put much into the fact that she somewhat resembles Anubis. Her family is largely conservative Muslim. As her family wished her to be able to read the Qur'an in its native language, she was taught at a young age how to read and write in Arabic, and due to the number of speakers in her family she is fluent in the language.
As she grew up, she found less and less value in religion, especially the conservative interpretations of her family and their views on the role of females in society. Once she discovered feminism, she drifted from her family views, and she eventually found her way to atheism, rejecting the Islamic faith entirely.
This, of course, created a wedge between her and many in her family. She is still close to her mother and her two siblings, a brother and sister, but her father remains a bit distant, while many others in her extended family want nothing to do with her for rejecting the faith.
In a bit of a rebellious streak, she got her nipples pierced, and began trimming-down the fur on her tail, finding that the thin tail makes her look more exotic due to similar tails on Anubis in ancient Egyptian art. While she doesn't clad herself stereo-typically like Anubis, she is proud to hail from Egypt and feels that the trimming pays homage to her heritage.
One thing she does keep from her family is her sex life. Once she left for College to study African History, she discovered sex. She found that she liked it. A LOT. Her slim and busty figure combined with her exotic look means she has no trouble finding partners.
Despite her promiscuity, she absolutely despises being called a whore or a slut or anything similar. She believes that females should be able to be in charge of their own sexuality and should not be judged to different standards than males.
She currently works as a bartender at a high-end nightclub. She is damn-good at it, too, making perfect drinks fast and knowing just what to say and when to get her customers to open their wallets and leave her nice fat tips.
