Dude, you're right next to the dock, flail about towards it and grab onto the wood once in reach. Plus, he's an otter. He should know how to swim. < A< This is very suspicious. That, and why is Arno telling him to stop and not go help? You'd think they'd both be running to help.

I hope he knows to approach a panicking and drowning person from behind. Assuming this isn't a ruse of some kind.
But yeah, for anyone who doesn't know - someone drowning and panicking is likely to end up dragging you under the water in their own poorly-thought-out attempts to save themselves. Which is why you should never swim out after someone, usually. Throw something buoyant like a life preserver to them or leave it to people with actual training, but if all else fails and you do absolutely need to swim out to them, grab them from behind so they can't pull/push you under and you can maintain control. At least, that is the recommended practice.

Well even if it is staged, Celio makes a nice lifeguard. Trying to safe someone who he thinks is in danger and leaving what he was doing.
