I really like it as well, it was worth the effort thankfully, I spent 8 hours doing all that hatching and shading, then refining the shading so it popped out! It represents how I was feeling pretty well, and I didn't have to struggle on it like I usually do. The hands remind me of another vent peice I am making, maybe this will help me finish the other.
8 hours, now that's dedication! And yeah the hatching in the background looks great, it gives it a dark appearance without having to go full black, plus the way they go in all directions give the picture a certain kind of "moodiness," if you will. Eh, I'm bad at expressing things in intelligent or artistic terms, so you'll have to forgive me =P
