Spyro's Sit-In (Skylanders Academy Season 2)
Ok, Azul's kinda under the weather, so I'm gonna put this scheduled thingy up for him. Wow...talk about a sit-in...

Ok, so there are a couple things going on this day, and one of them is, apparently, the premiere of Skylanders Season 2. I only watched Episode 1, so I can't really be a full-on judge about it. Anyway, the focus is on Season 2.
Apparently it SEEMS like it will, or at least the first episode or two, focus on Spyro's origins. Well...we kinda...saw that already didn't we? *snickers* But no, I guess the whole "why he was alone" and "parents" thing comes into question, and it's always been a wondered question.
And then of course...there's the new arrival...Cynder. Ok...I knew Cynder was in Skylanders...also knew that she was in the comics...also knew that the story about her was similar....to the Legend of Spyro Trilogy. And now...seems like that's being incorporated into Skylanders now too. And Spyro's the one who saved her. Oh...wait...was he? Seemed like in the trailer he may not know her...or...does he? And it seems...Malefor's in it too? Uhh...huh?
I got to admit, Skylander's is getting a little confusing. First, it was SUPPOSE to be about Spyro, but then it was about all the random people that come in. Then they expand it with the show...but the show is not really based off stuff from the game, it's it's own separate thing. Then, Cynder is brought it, but her story is somewhat the same from the Legend Series...but so does that mean the stuff in Legend happened? Or was it some dumbed-down version?
But wait, that's from the comic material, and the show's seperate. So does Spyro know Cynder already in season 2? If he does, then when the heck did he free her from Malefor? He was hatchling with Eon for his early life, and by Season 1 he's still a greenhorn Skylander. You'd think him defeating Malefor (or was it JUST saving Cynder??), would get him pretty much in.
But what if they DON'T know each other? So is this their first meeting? If so, Spyro never saved her before. So are they going to play in that whole bit NOW in Season 2?
Ugggh...please just make new Spyro centric game and not some splintered media storm that's as divided as the island worlds that dominate it's play area...
Anyway, it's nice to Cynder. Unfortunately, actual Spyro didn't see it that way. Since the holo-deck is keyed into some programs, he stepped right on in to a Skylander program with a plan of his own to get his proposed due. Did you know that green "link thing" from Dawn of the Dragon was in Skylanders? Turns out it is...though Spyro went the more direct way, and Cynder (guess it's based off an earlier model, she's all over the place) is not taking too kindly to it.
Personally, I wouldn't mind an HD remake for Spyro, which will hopefully come in the future, and a new series around him to revive his original concepts would be cool too. But uhh...lets let HIM take to the sitting in...I think he's uhh...making his point...

Probably how this whole thing got started.
I've seen someone do it in an Unreal engine and it looked pretty good. I guess it's the whole butting heads between Activision and Insomniac or something...
Did hear of expensive statues being sold of "Retro Spyro"...maybe it's an attempt to garner interest in the original before remakes happen

The unreal engine remakes did look realy brilliant, I saw one recently where the guy even programed spyro with all the moves (altho fire was a bit meh) and you could even pick up the gems.
Yea, saw the statues. I gotta admit if the price wasn't quite so high I would've absolutely bought one, the craftsmanship was absolutely amazing. Hopefully the rumor that they're making cheaper but smaller versions turns of the massive out to be true.

I was initially looking forward to Season specifically because of Cynder. However, while watching the trailer, I realized something I should have noticed a long time ago: Spyro's Voice is completely wrong. He should sound like a teenager, not an adult. Even Legend Spyro had a teenage-like voice, though an elder teenager.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if they revived the "Classic" Spyro series, mainly because it would focus on HIM and not 50 other characters I don't give a damn about. While I would prefer a "Legend" revival, I understand that a lot of fans don't like that series. I just hope that if they do revive the classic series, that they include Cynder in it, because she's cool.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if they revived the "Classic" Spyro series, mainly because it would focus on HIM and not 50 other characters I don't give a damn about. While I would prefer a "Legend" revival, I understand that a lot of fans don't like that series. I just hope that if they do revive the classic series, that they include Cynder in it, because she's cool.
When I first saw this picture I assumed Sypro shackled knock off Cynder in order to force her to be his diaper changer. If he should happen to mess himself then that would be incentive enough to change him as Cynder wouldn't want him to remain stinky when she's forced to be in close proximity of him.
Even if she'd didn't change him and Spyro wound up changing himself she'd still have to watch so its win-win for our purple dragon, he gets a fresh diaper and Cynder's punished in another way. Personally I'd like to see original and knock off Cynder in diapers but given their personalities it'd be less likely to happen, but hey one can dream.

Apologies Azul for making that mistake again. I keeping thinking she does it based on the complaining she did in the first page of the Plantastrophy series saying that "if she had a sense of smell she wouldn't be doing this daily task". Can't remember if you explained that one to me or not though
