With the exception of a little piddling here and there, this is the first real digital piece I've done since 2007... and holy crap! I've completely broken away from such tools as Dodge, Burn, and Smudge in favor of taking my time with lowered opacity and building up the colors just as I learned in my oil painting class from Fall 2008. The results, at least in my mind, show leaps and bounds of improvement over my previous works.
Just sharing to prove that I'm NOT dead and to let you know that there will be furry-fuzzy stuff as soon as I stop being a lazy-ass heifer and get my scanner set up again. x3

Thanks! This is just one of many collaborative pieces meant to showcase a variety of horse colors. I'm still debating whether or not I should upload the other color pattern I selected, Lacing. The image, per project requirements, is the exact same as the one seen here with only minor alterations such as a lightening of the coat, darkening of the mane, tail, and lower legs for a "mealy buckskin" look and the addition of a giraffe-like marking pattern across the back and loins.
Nope, those are considered birdcatcher spots, which are affected by another gene. For a real-life example: http://www.whitehorseproductions.co.....pots_arab1.jpg
