If you use coloring pencil regularly, I would recommend using a generic white oil pastel to blend the color so the lines from where the coloring pencil didn't touch the paper disappear.

Ah! See I didn't think of that. I was even talking to my friend yesterday about a colorless blending pencil. Thanks for the tip. My scanner killed some of the color too.

You're welcome. ^^ Though, the oil pastel does move the colors around a bit, so you'd want to smudge it in the same direction as the color continues in, to avoid smudging the boundaries between the different colors. Also, *nods* yeah, scanners are bad about that. D:
