It was a mistake - go to meet fears, trying to overcome them.

Smirking, Atropos watched the helpless attempts of his victim to free himself, because he already knew his fears and that now this unfortunate creature in his full power. Bane was going to have fun with his new toy.
He lifted it higher to examine the weakened body, and then Elemental's jaw began to open slowly. Nevol's eyes opened with fright and he with new strength began to wriggle in grasp, wanting to escape his fate, but Bane held him very tight.
